Sam grew up in Australia and graduated from Sydney University in 1993. She then spent 6 years in England working in small animal practice in London.
Sam returned to Australia in 2001 where she continued working in small animal practice, this time in the humid, leafy Sydney suburbs. Some of the more exotic conditions she treated were tick paralysis, snake and spider bite and heart worm. She also treated a lot of wildlife- possums, bandicoots, kookaburras and an occasional kangaroo!
Sam moved back to the UK in 2013 and started working in Hertfordshire and her clinical interests are behaviour and geriatric medicine.
Sam lives in Redbourn with her 3 children, a golden retriever and 2 cats.
